"Forced Homosexuality"?

"United Arab Emirates law does not recognize rape of males, only a crime called “forced homosexuality.”

What does "forced homosexuality" mean?

So a male can't rape another male but can force him to be a homosexual which also means that the forced one will be prosecuted for "being/becoming" homosexual.

This is as bad as Pakistan's notorious rape laws regarding women.

Hani,

that a raped woman needs to produce 4 witnesses to prove her case otherwise she'll be charged with adultery. see:

kick ass, so i guess its infectious ,the orientation that is, and its semen born i take it ?

now i think they need to start working on a vaccine just in case they get raped so they wouldn't mutate

Amal, I didn't check the link here, then read the story in the NYT.

This is unbelievably sick, I have no idea what I would do if I was Alex's mother . Isn't there any provision when the male being raped is also a minor??

Kinzi,

I don't know what the UAE law say about rape of a minor. Sorry I don't have info but now that I'm curious I'd like to find out.

Hmm I've read about the Pakistani law further, it seems to be misinterpreting Islamic law where you require 4 witnesses to accuse someone of adultery.

Not that I'm defending something as out-dated as Islamic law, but its just interesting to find out where such laws come from.

Yes, Hani, as I said in my blog post about this issue, it turns the 4 witnesses requirement on its head (i.e. against women).

Hani,
Your comment on Islamic laws as "out-dated" is interesting. I take it you keep current and up to date with the latest fashionable legislation which makes you a better person than those people isn't it?

You are like someone who would say that it was ok to hate black people in the thirties because that was before racism was bad.

Wasim, your analogy is quite inaccurate, and your insult to black people is dispicable.

Calling legislation outdated has nothing to do with fashion, simply to do with the fact that the Quran was written thousands of years ago.

My opinion is that its not applicable anymore. Millions of people including you disagree with me. However millions also agree with me. So, to each his own.

I respect your opinion, don't worry.

One thing though, your comment your insult to black people is dispicable. made me laugh. I think you missed the point, which only makes my analogy so so relevant. Yallah good luck and take care
