Pornography of Violence
In Iraq, people are being tortured and murdered for surfing internet pornographic sites and using chat rooms. All in the name of a grotesque Islam that is being invented in an orgy of violence.

Yes, how come that her passing was not noted here? But then if you are to mark every passing, where will you start? Many notables are passing everyday, including Driss Chraibi, a few weeks before Nazik. Anyhow, Nazik is a pioneer of free verse and perhaps, more than anyone else, merits some rememory. ng
Amal, have you heard of a term now that's used to describe certain genres of horror/slasher films?: "torture porn" Sounds like our world is getting off more and more off the torture of human beings. It's scary...
