New Word: "Sieving"

Reading the news this morning, I learned a new Arabic word. It appears in Ali Jaradat's article in Al Ayyam: غربلة جسد جمال أبو الجديان The word is "Gharbaleh," used about the body of one of the Fateh men executed by Hamas. It means that his body was "sieved" or "made into a sieve."

How do you do that?

45 bullets.

the word is not new but the expression, oh it is tragically ironic! "Garbalat Jasad" worthy of a novel--where are the novelists? bring them on? there is war and there is going to be a genocide in Gaza, hurry up you poets, novelists, journalists and media jerks! now military aid will flow to Fatah and they will try to smoke out Hamas whom Abu-Mazen has just described as "9tala" (killers) and foreclosed any kind of dialogue with them. already Abu-Mazen is speaking Hebrew and American English. who was the last of these two I heard foreclosing the possibility of any dialogue with terrorists?
