Gaza Fragments, or, "The era of justice and Islamic rule has arrived"

"marching once-feared Fatah fighters down the street shirtless and with hands raised."

Portraits of Abbas and his predecessor, the late Yasser Arafat, lay on the ground as Hamas fighters showed reporters pools of blood where they said two of Abbas's guards shot themselves rather than surrender. A Fatah official said the guards were killed.

"dozens of Palestinian citizens have arrived at Erez crossing at the Israeli border with the Gaza Strip, awaiting Israeli approval to flee to the West Bank. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the groups of people at the crossing included women and children."

"a prominent Hamas preacher had issued a religious edict, or fatwa, saying Hamas was entitled to kill Madhoun.Witnesses said Hamas supporters paraded his body through the streets of Nusseirat refugee camp."

"several Fatah fighters had been shot in the head."

There are victims on all sides. Let's not 'forget' to mention the ones we don't like. You know, like CNN.

35-year-old, Sal'ous, who was a father of three, was abducted by masked gunmen and his body was arrived at hospital, in the West Bank city of Nablus, on Friday with bullets in his head, chest and legs.

Hamas issued a statement saying "he was bullet-ridden and Fatah claimed responsibility for his execution."

moi,

there are enough victims to go around and last a life time, don't you worry about that one bit. No one is forgetting.

But Hamas's victims too should not be spinned out of existence. Fateh proved to be boy scouts compared to Hamas. They are pathetic and amaturish. Hamas is something else altogether. Anyway the post was about more than victims. It was capturing symbolic moments that if we pause and reflect on, we should die of the horror of it.
