Once Upon a Happy Song

Abdel Halim Hafez teases Nadia Lutfi in the film Al Khataya (Transgressions). The song, "We7yat Albi we Afra7o" became popular to mark celebrations of academic achievements such as graduations, finals, etc. (tonight it's for KB who has reason to celebrate)

Anonymous,

this is horrible. do you know when, where, and why this took place? Who was the girl?

Hi Amal,
Her name is Doa. She is a Kurdish girl from north of Iraq of a tribe or Sect which called (Izadi). It seems, in-spied of her family decision, wanted to marry a young boy from another tribe. Then her family decided to punish her because of their honor!
It is reported by (PUKmedia)! even to UN.
There are three pics from her by Mobile phone and any time someone upload it in TinyPics after some hours it will deleted! the second and third Pics are very rare and hard to be watched by others. I have seen all , I can not put any word on it. If you can save it, please do it because after some time nothing there to watch.
For the first time it appears on
http://www.hamedpourgh.hamedpourgh.multiply.com/
then disappeared in two hours, then many times tried in Tinypics and always vanished again!
It seems someone or organization does not want to make it public.
If I find the remains of the Pics, I will inform you.

Hi Amal,
The anonymous is right. She has been stoned to death in Bashighe in Musal in Kurdish part of Iraq by her tribe on 2nd of May 2007. She belonged to a Christian sects from the Izadi tribe.
I have saved the Pics 1 and 2, but I do not have the third one, which I am interested in a lot for my weblog which is in Persian (Farsi).
If you are interested, give me your email and I'll send it to you.

anonymous,

The last link you sent doesn't give me any pictures. Maybe it's been deleted already.

Gavi,

do email the pictures. My email is on my profile page.

My question is: what is the relationship of this to the Iranian regime? If she's Kurdish, from Northern Iraq, Christian, why is the story coming up in discussion of Iran?
