"She Carries Weapons" WTF?

it's a reference to one of Kahf's poems, "hijab scene # 7" which I posted a while back.

Is Mohja what the NYT want? Or is it just aspects of her where she exposes how Muslims Americans bend the rules and have ablution at sears, etc.?
I find this short article placing Mohja, quite subtly, along with Hisri Ali and the other pioneers of the escapee narrative that Mohja herself eloquently criticizes, ALAS! Ultimately, nothing escapes, not even anti-escapist narratives, the orientalist wheel!
