New Book: Tasting the Sky

Tasting the Sky: A Palestinian Childhood is a memoir by Ibtisam Barakat about growing up under occupation. For a profile of Barakat, see IMEU.
Ibtisam and I grew up in the same city and went to the same public school in El Bireh around the same time. We graduated from the same university. So I'm really looking forward to reading this book. It's not going to wait politely for its turn in line; it's going to elbow its way to the top of my "read now" list.
