Wacky Warnings

The above won first place for the wackiest warning on a product.

In second place, an engine manufacturer which warned "Never use a lit match or open flame to check fuel level."

Warnings not to dry wet mobile phones in microwave ovens and not to iron lottery tickets tied for third place.

Honorable mention: a phonebook advised: "Please do not use this directory while operating a moving vehicle".

Still, despite the excessive letigation, warnings by manufacturers and our right to sue are hard won consumer rights.
