Oscar Notes

First, last year we didn't exist; this year we made it as an adjective; next year we may make it as a noun. "Paradise Now" was nominated from "The Palestinian Territories."

Second, I thought Jon Stewart looked uncomfortable throughout but particularly in the opening segment. He was too polite, too unpolitical, and too much out of his element. Good. This way he won't desert us and will stick with the Daily Show.

Third, I'm pleased to announce that "Munich" was shut out from all categories.

Fourth, best actress was the worst choice. Witherspoon does not act; she's just herself. Not even her "real woman" spiel will convert me into a fan.

Fifth, where the hell is Angelina Jolli?
