According to B'tselem, Israel has practically
annexed the Jordan Valley. The group shows "that some 200,000 Palestinian West Bank residents are systematically prevented from entering the Jordan Valley area, including farmers seeking to cultivate their own land and seasonal farm workers who used to work there regularly."

The new policy is 'soft transfer'. Just make life unbearable for the WB palestinians, completely block them from israel, and keep Jordan as the only outlet.
In time, the only flux will be out of the WB and into Jordan. The flux from the WB to inside the 1948 land, in particular via 48-palestinians/67-palestinians marriages will be stemmed. I don't trust the ruling family jordan, they've never let go of the WB as part of their kingdom and they'd be willing to sell the palestinians out, again.
I would only add that it's not a new policy at all. It's been going on. Most Palestinians entering the West Bank have now to go through Jordan. and yes the Jordanian option can dusted off, again.
I know: Jisr al Hussein. I've heard of its nightmares and the 6-10 hours over the few meters long bridge.
ya, I tried it. hated it. the humiliation was palpable. I think they really succeed in discouraging people from going back; I mean summer vacationers must think twice. which is the point.
I hate borders. I hate travelling.
